Singapore, 01st November, 2010 –Utiba, a leading global supplier of mobile financial transaction platforms for mobile operators and financial institutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its leadership team, Abhishek Bhalla as Regional Director, SAARC region, Surajit Bhattacharjee as Director – Strategic Projects & Revenue Enhancement, Global and Khurshid Khair as General Manager Pakistan,Utiba.
As Regional Director SAARC, Utiba, Abhishek Bhalla, will be responsible for the overall operations, business processes and enhancing company’s position in the region. In this new role, he will lead operations in the India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan.
Abhishek has a strong background, experience and skill set in the industry which will help consolidate Utiba’s continued expansion plan in the region. Abhishek has joined Utiba in 2009, as Sales Director for the SAARC region and Group Account Manager, for key global group accounts like Orascom and Tigo (Millicom International group).
In his second stint at Utiba which started on October 25th, Surajit Bhattacharjee, one of the founding employees of Utiba India, will be responsible for creating and managing a new global Revenue Enhancement group within the company.
Over his 17 years experience, Surajit has worked with telecom operators and vendors on solutions like mobile payments, mobile banking, and billing systems. Surajit varied experience in the industry has endowed him with deep insights and expertise in the sector.
Joining Utiba in one of its most important markets, Pakistan, Khurshid Khair took charge on Oct 24th as the General Manager – Pakistan. He is responsible for managing and expanding Utiba’s operations in Pakistan. This includes pursuing new business development and leveraging Utiba’s presence in the region.
Khurshid has extensive and diversified experience in information technology, telecom and banking industry. He has held senior positions at Bank Alfalah- an Abu Dhabi Group Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and National Bank of Pakistan.
