ERAMA AND VIDIATOR TO LAUNCH INTERNET & MOBILE TV SERVICES ACROSS MALAYSIA
BROADCAST ASIA, 21 June 2011 – Erama Creative Sdn. Bhd , Malaysia’s 100% home grown and uprising Internet & mobile TV services provider, today announces it will be launching its Internet & mobile TV services with Vidiator, a leading provider of mobile streaming and encoding solutions.
The services, which are set to launch Q3 this year, will be delivered using Vidiator’s Xenon streaming platform. Xenon Encoding enables multiplatform streaming from just one encode. It also comes complete with HD support, allowing for 1080p HD quality for both live and offline encoding.
The Xenon Live Encoders will be running initially on 12 channels, comprising of anchor channel 1 Malaysia IPTV and its DETIK Online Streaming News Services, as well as Erama DokuTV, Erama MusikTV, and several Malaysian Free-To-Air TV Channels, such as RTM1, RTM2 and AlHijrah TV, amongst others.
One of the channels is dedicated to Erama Radio, a continuous non-stop online audio playlist streaming services. The service is expected to reach around 1.5 million users at launch.
