Vodafone Ireland Launches High Speed Mobile WiFi

Only Irish Operator to Offer Mobile WiFi Dual Carrier Speeds

Dublin, 07 August 2013: Vodafone Ireland today launched its new high speed Mobile WiFi device[1]. Exclusive to Vodafone, the new device provides the fastest Mobile WiFi speeds in the Irish market. On the fastest network for data[2], Vodafone Mobile WiFi now enables businesses to seamlessly work on the move or even set up a pop-up office while remaining constantly connected through high speed mobile broadband.

With 89%[3] of Irish businesses already using mobile data, this new Mobile WiFi device will deliver the bandwidth required by business to carry out work anywhere as if they were in the office. This is driven by the desire of businesses to move to a new way of working that provides greater flexibility to employees while maintaining and improving customer engagement.

Business customers will experience download speeds of up to four times faster than standard mobile broadband, dependent on the price plan selected[4].

2.            Vodafone Ireland’s mobile data network achieved the best download speeds of all Irish mobile operators as recorded by random customers using the Speedtest.net application for the period between January 2012 and February 2013. This result is based on over 100,000 samples from customers using iOS and Android operated smartphones submitted on a nationwide basis. In November 2012, Vodafone’s mobile data network was measured to be the fastest overall for HTTP file upload and download performance and web page download speeds by Spirent, a global leader in network and device testing, when compared to the other major mobile operators, in independently selected locations in Dublin, Limerick, Waterford, Cork & Galway.
