VTR closed a deal with Open Systems to implement the SmartFlex platform in its mobile operations

Miami, June 2011. VTR, a Chilean telecommunications market leader and one of Latin America’s largest cable operators, present in more than a million homes in Chile and providing more than 2 million services, chose Open as the most appropriate organization to support its entry into the mobile telephony market, via the Open SmartFlex B/OSS platform.
After spending months in an international selection process, the Open proposal proved to be the best alternative to model and rapidly introduce new products in the market, in contrast with other options requiring integration of several CRM, Billing and Operations Management solutions.
Open will accompany the entire implementation and market rollout processes of the mobile telephony services of VTR, which will be offered to more than 5 million potential customers in a market with a cellular telephony penetration of 103%.
