The white paper introduces the fundamental concepts and benefits of data-over-sound connectivity, and explores key application areas within the Internet of Things, including provisioning smart devices and facilitating secure near-field communication in low-cost, low-power scenarios.
Chirp has capitalised on the digital signal processing (DSP) capabilities of Arm’s Cortex-M4 and Cortex-M7 processors to engineer a robust, software-defined data-over-sound solution that is reliable, without being resource intensive, enabling connectivity and application logic to reside on a single Arm core.
Key featured results include Chirp-enabled solutions reducing the provisioning time of a smart device by 48% with a web-based scenario, and 86% with a mobile scenario.
