Global Fleet Management Platform Wialon Announces

Top 10 Telematics Service Providers Worldwide

_The annual Top Partners ranking recognises the companies that connected
the largest number of vehicles over the past 12 months in their
respective regions_

8th August, 2023: Wialon [1], the leading global fleet management
platform, today announces its annual ranking of top telematics services
providers by number of vehicles connected to the platform. The ranking
recognises leaders in Africa, Asia Pacific, Central Asia, Europe, the
Middle East, North and South America, meticulously measuring the number
of vehicles and other assets connected to the Wialon system over the
past 12 months. Furthermore, the rankings not only recognise the
remarkable business results of Wialon’s partners, but also shed light on
the distinctive business contexts of each region.

The 2023 leading partners in each region:

Africa – Eagle Eye Ltd [3]

Asia Pacific – PT. Unique [4]

Central Asia – IMG [5]

Europe – Localizador Sherlog [6]

Middle East – Location Solutions Telematics [7]

North America – BrickHouse Security [8]

South America – Maqsat [9]

The Wialon platform is created by Gurtam [10], a European software
developer with over two decades of experience in the telematics industry
and the widest-ranging portfolio of telematics solutions. With over 3.6
million vehicles connected and tracked, Wialon is the largest fleet
management platform worldwide by the number of connected vehicles and
other assets.

Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Head of Wialon, says: “The Wialon platform is used
worldwide in numerous projects across different sectors, including
transportation, construction, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture,
security, and smart city development. Its versatility extends beyond
fleet management to smart buildings and supporting emerging trends in
the market, but the key challenges telematics services providers tackle
with Wialon continue to be cost-saving and security enhancement.”

Wialon fully understands the unique requirements and demands of each
region. In Africa, for example, Wialon has observed a substantial uptake
of telematics and IoT technologies across various industries, leading to
one of the largest regional growths, with the number of connected
vehicles growing by 29% over the past year. This has resulted in a
notable boost in operational efficiency and better-informed
decision-making within the business landscape and increasing popularity
of features like driver identification, panic buttons, remote engine
blocking, and real-time location monitoring to address concerns around
safety and security.

In Europe, Wialon also saw a growth in the number of connected vehicles
with a greater focus on the electrification of vehicles as transport
manufacturers look to decarbonise fleets. Across America, there has been
significant growth, but also a notable divide: evidence shows North
America favours video telematics, with a broad range of camera-based
solutions deployed in commercial vehicle fleets either as standalone
applications or as an added feature set to conventional fleet
telematics. Wialon recorded a 19% growth in the number of connected
vehicles across North America.

South America recorded a similar growth to Africa at 29% – and is
likely to see further growth in the commercial segment as agribusinesses
and eCommerce expand, increasing the demand on telematics and IoT
technologies to ensure driver safety. By monitoring driver behaviours,
such as speed, harsh braking, and aggressive manoeuvres, companies are
identifying risky driving patterns and taking proactive measures to
prevent accidents.

Wialon’s distribution model relies on partners empowering over 2,400
companies, the majority being SMEs and start-ups, to develop and grow
their own businesses. These partners employ over 10,000 professionals
and serve companies operating fleets in more than 150 countries.

Fleet management service providers are a good example of businesses that
have the potential to scale, given that the rise of the API economy has
opened up new avenues for telematics and IoT applications. Typically,
most service providers and system integrators are small- and
medium-sized companies, for whom it makes perfect sense to work with a
technology supplier like Wialon in order to access reliable, up-to-date
technology at speed, scale and reasonable cost.

Aliaksandr Kuushynau concludes: “As we celebrate the achievements of our
partners, we see vast untapped opportunities in every region. The
ambitious solutions offered by our partners exemplify Wialon’s
versatility, flexibility, and transformative impact; from a leading
provider of security and surveillance solutions for 400 Fortune 500
companies and over 40,000 small businesses worldwide, to start-ups and
regional SMEs.”
