X-Genics appoints NIFES Consulting Group as Health & Safety adviser

by david.nunes

X-Genics, the provider of eManager compliance software products, is pleased to announce the appointment of NIFES Consulting Group as its preferred health and safety adviser and surveyor to help GPs better manage the changes taking place in the NHS. The partnership will combine the technical facilities and delivery skills of X-Genics with the H&S and risk assessment experience and know-how of NIFES, helping medical practices achieve CQC compliance and a painless transition to consortium status.

NIFES, a subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange-listed Spice Group Plc and an experienced multidisciplinary consultancy, has a considerable presence in the NHS sector. The company employs highly competent teams comprising building surveyors, engineers and scientists, with specialists in fire safety, asbestos and disability access. Their credentials qualify them to evaluate the healthcare environment from all aspects.

The qualities make NIFES an ideal partner for X-Genics and both groups look forward to forging a solid partnership. “We are delighted with the opportunity to work with NIFES,” said Bharat Patel, the CEO of X-Genics. “NIFES will bring a much respected skill set to complement the services we will provide to GP practices and the newly forming consortia.”

In addition to Health & Safety assessments and Property Appraisal surveys, NIFES provides assistance with risk assessments (including fire, legionella, COSHH and workplace risk assessment). Commenting on X-Genics’ technology, Dr Simon Kempton, Technical Services Director at NIFES, said: “I was impressed by the potential of the X-Genics technology. The company’s eManager expert system will allow clients to better manage internal risk. More than that, crucially, it will also provide unique real-time feedback and updates on tracking performance – an ever increasingly important aspect in the challenging times ahead. This promises a new and different way of delivering proactive services, which we hope clients will find helpful and exciting.”
