Zinwave CEO, Ian Sugarbroad, to participate on discussion panel at CTIA Super Mobility 2015

Ian Sugarbroad shares his expertise on implementing wideband DAS technology to improve wireless and Wi-Fi coverage in large public buildings

Zinwave, global providers of a unified connectivity platform for in-building wireless and IP coverage, announced today that Ian Sugarbroad, the company’s CEO, is participating on a discussion panel titled “Neutral Host DAS, Wi-Fi Offload and Small Cells as a Service” at the Tower and Small Cells Summit. The conference, which forms part of CTIA Super Mobility 2015, is taking place at Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas from 9-11 September.  Zinwave can be found on Booth Number PMR302.

During an interactive session taking place on the 9/10/2015 at 16.00, Ian will share his thoughts on implementing wideband distributed antenna systems (DAS) to deliver the multiple wireless services needed in high density buildings such as airports, shopping malls and sports stadia. According to industry research, U.S. consumers currently account for 50% of the world’s 4G/LTE consumption and providing seamless connectivity to advanced wireless services is becoming increasingly challenging for large public venue owners.

Ian has over 30 years’ experience in wireless and international telecoms and has held senior positions at a number of highly regarded companies in the telecoms sector. These include LGC wireless (where he built the company to $100million in five years prior to its acquisition by ADC), interWAVE Communications and Nortel Networks.

Earlier this year Zinwave launched UNItivity, a Unified Connectivity platform that integrates the company’s unique wideband DAS technology with IP capabilities to deliver a fully integrated solution. UNItivity supports any combination of wireless and IP services between 150MHz-2700MHz on a single hardware layer, regardless of protocol or modulation scheme. UNItivity also is the only system to support multiple FDD and TDD LTE services simultaneously across any spectrum allocated globally.

UNItivity offers building owners, MNOs and neutral host providers an “install-once” solution, eliminating the need for expensive and disruptive upgrades to existing infrastructures to accommodate new services as they become available. UNItivity’s flexibility design and unique wideband DAS technology delivers significantly reduced CAPEX and OPEX costs compared to conventional DAS installations.

Smartphone users are the biggest growth driver for IP traffic,” comments Ian Sugarbroad, CEO of Zinwave. “Our unified connectivity platform allows large building owners to manage all their wireless coverage requirements from a one-layer system. UNItivity is also scalable, so services such as Wi-Fi or MIMO can be easily added to satisfy demand, making the system truly future-proof and delivering the lowest TCO.”
