Zscaler Powers Comprehensive Security Solution Offered by Deutsche Telekom

New Security Offering, Internet Protect Pro, will be available to all Deutsche Telekom’s business customers

London, March 17, 2016—Zscaler, the leading cloud security provider, today jointly announced with Deutsche Telekom at the CeBIT conference in Hanover, Germany that Zscaler will power Deutsche Telekom’s newest security solution, Internet Protect Pro, a new offering from its Magenta Security Portfolio, for its business customers.  The completely cloud based Internet Protect Pro encompasses the Zscaler cloud security platform and be operated in Deutsche Telekom’s highly secure data center in Biere, Germany ensuring compliance with European data residency and privacy requirements.

With this announcement, Deutsche Telekom continues its expansion into cloud services and further differentiates itself by offering uncompromising trust and security that is easy and convenient to deploy.

“For the cloud and mobile world of IT, security must be delivered from the cloud.  We are glad to partner with Zscaler to offer a purpose-built security platform to our customers, relieving them of the need to buy, deploy and manage traditional security point products.   Internet Protect Pro, powered by Zscaler, hosted in Deutsche Telekom datacenters, offers unmatched data privacy and security to our German and global customers,” explained Dr. Ferri Abolhassan, Director of T-Systems’ IT Division and Telekom Security.

“Deutsche Telekom has been on the forefront of enabling cloud transformation at businesses,” said Jay Chaudhry, CEO of Zscaler.   “This partnership will further extend that lead by bringing Zscaler’s extensive cloud security platform to provide Deutsche Telecom’s customers with comprehensive security, visibility and control in an easy to configure and deploy solution.”

With Zscaler, Deutsche Telekom is able to offer its customers a cloud-based security solution that includes the following key capabilities:

Advanced Security

  • Web security, next generation cloud firewall and sandboxing that ensures that businesses are protected from inbound threats including traditional malware, botnets attacks and APT (advanced persistent threats)
  • DLP (Data Loss Prevention) to monitor and block core intellectual property from leaving a company
  • Enforcement of a company’s Internet access policy to prevent the unauthorised access to locations or applications that could compromise a company’s security posture

Comprehensive Protection Across Locations, Users and Devices

With Zscaler’s cloud based security, Deutsche Telekom is able to offer its businesses a high level of security for all their employees no matter where they are – headquarters, branch offices, or working remotely from their homes – and irrespective of the device they use to access the Internet (PC, mobile phone or tablet).

Simple, Cost-Effective Deployment and Management

Internet Protect Pro is deployed in the cloud, can be expanded as needed to fit a company’s growing needs and enables the IT organisation to manage security for all its users through the cloud.   This simplifies management, ensures consistent policies across the entire organisation and reduces the overall cost of ownership.
