ZTE Launches Highly Efficient Rectifier Zebo

October25, 2016, Shenzhen China – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today announced the launchof its new generation high-efficiency rectifier module, Zebo, at the 38th International Telecommunication Energy Conference (Intelec) in Austin, USA. The new solution is aimed at helping telecoms operators improve network energy efficiency, reduce total cost of operation (TCO), promote green building and intelligent networking.

With over two-decades of experience in the telecom energy sector, ZTE has developed nine innovative patented technologies by using advanced power conversion structure and topology design, high power density, low loss, low harmonic control technology, integrated modular design of multi-resonant magnetic parts, as well as efficient thermal design to create a new generation efficient rectifier product.

Given the increasing amount of energy consumed in power systems for IT equipment, the industry has voiced several concerns regarding efficient energy consumption. As such, green and energy saving solutions for networks have become a pressing need during the M-ICT era.

ZTE’s revolutionary solution, Zebo, takes the industry standard to new heights, where the peak efficiency of rectifier increases to 98.1 percent and the compact design (1U in height and 2U in width) has the highest power density of 50W/in3. The launch of Zebo has fully demonstrated ZTE’s leadership in current network energy solutions.

Zhaowei Li, International Market Director of ZTE Energy Products, delivered a speech at Intelec. Titled: “Zebo Leads you into a New Future!” the speech highlighted the benefits Zebo brings to operators and energy providers. In addition to ultra-efficiency and its high power density, Zebo’s compatible design and intelligent management also helps operators to create reliable and efficient sites with low operation & maintenance (O&M) costs.

“Lowering TCO is the key driver to developing innovative and efficient IT equipment power systems. A rectifier with 98.1 percent ultra-efficiency can prevent energy loss by 50 percent as compared to existing rectifiers with only 96 percent efficiency. In addition, high power density can save on cabinet size and floor space inside machine rooms. Most importantly, the compatibility and intelligent management of Zebo can help customers to significantly reduce O&M costs,” commented Xianhong Hu, CTO of ZTE Energy Product.  “ZTE has extensive experience in the telecom energy sector. As the global leader, ZTE will continue to deliver innovative, efficient, energy saving, green and intelligent energy products to telecom operators.”

The International Telecommunication Energy Conference is one of the important industry conferences supported by IEEE and PELS, where experts from all over the world publish academic papers to demonstrate frontier technologies, as well as to discuss the latest trends in the telecom energy sector. ZTE’s energy products and solutions have been making continuous innovations in network energy management, helping telecom operators around the world to optimise network energy consumption.

ZTE Launches PowerMaster ONE

October25, 2016, Shenzhen China – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today announced the launch of its new generation PowerMaster One hybrid energy solution at the 38th International Telecommunication Energy Conference (Intelec) in Austin, USA. The new solution aims to help telecom operators improve network efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).

With an all-in-one and highly compatible design, ZTE’s new PowerMaster ONE solution provides telecom operators with a suite of benefits including multiple energy input support, unified management, a reduction in floor area by more than 50 percent as well as in engineering time by 80 percent. Highly intelligent, with extensive functions to allow the merging of wind and solar power technologies, the solution also benefits from a mechanical and electronic anti-theft design to effectively protect the safety of energy assets. It can be connected to ZTE’s iEnergy site energy management solution through multiple transmission modes for full monitoring and preventive maintenance on network energy.

Yuanhua Huang, an expert from ZTE’s Energy Department, gave a speech at the exhibition forum. Entitled “Green & Magic Energy Box – ZTE New Generation Hybrid Solution – PowerMaster One”, Huang’s speech highlighted the innovative concept and technology used in PowerMaster ONE. The solution helps telecom operators maximise energy efficiency in particular in the background where telecom operators are gradually selling passive assets to infrastructure operators. It also allows seamless site expansion and upgrades from a single user to multiple users in order to avoid loss of early investment for customers.

In addition, Weibo Li, an energy architecture expert from ZTE published a paper titled “An Innovative Energy Management System for Telecom Energy Network” at the conference. The paper discussed the strengths of ZTE’s cloud based network energy management solution, iEnergy, and how it helps customers optimise and improve energy/operations and maintenance (O&M) efficiency through preventive maintenance, network energy management and big data analysis.

The International Telecommunication Energy Conference is one of the key industry conferences supported by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Power Electronics Society (PELS) where experts from all over the world publish academic papers to demonstrate frontier technologies, as well as to discuss the latest trends in the telecom energy sector.

As a pioneer in the practical application of the energy internet, ZTE energy products and solutions have been making continuous innovations in network energy management and helping telecom operators around the world to optimise network energy consumption.
