ZTE launches latest product in ZXCTN 9000-E series

16 February 2016, Shenzhen, China– ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, announced it will launch a next-generation internet protocol radio access network (IP RAN) product. The ZXCTN 9000-2E10 is set to be launched in Barcelona at MWC in February 2016. This product is the latest member of ZTE’s IP RAN, ZXCTN 9000-E series. Only 5U high, the ZXCTN 9000-2E10 can provide a large capacity of 400G, and fully supports software defined networking (SDN)/network functions virtualisation (NFV) technology to help operators tackle the challenges of high-speed broadband networks in the era of mobile internet.

With the advent of mobile internet and 5G, the exponential growth of mobile data and video services pose higher requirements for bearer networks. To further improve the performance of aggregation layer products and their compatibility with SDN/NFV, ZTE will launch the next-generation of its IP RAN product, the ZXCTN 9000-2E10, featuring a compact size and larger capacity. Adopting next-generation integrated forwarding chips with high performance and low power consumption, and more complete product architecture, this product achieves 400G large capacity with the compact size of just 5U. Each line card supports two CFP4 100GE interfaces; one line card supports 480G switching capacity; it also supports maximally a 960G interface capacity. While meeting the performance requirements of high levels of integration, low power consumption and universal fitting, its compact size and front-facing insertion card enable it to be integrated in traditional 300mm-deep transmission equipment rooms, achieving a high level of integration in a small space. Moreover, this product fully supports SDN solutions to meet the requirements of SDN IP RAN and virtual data centre (VDC) application scenarios. It can also support various NFV functions via the x86 server subcard.

At present, ZTE’s IP RAN ZXCTN 9000-E product series has been widely deployed and used by hundreds of operators worldwide with its powerful aggregation and access capability, rich service functions, mature and stable operation and easy-to-maintain features. It has become the driving force in mobile bearer networks and fixed mobile convergence (FMC) network construction.
