Joint innovation center in Indonesia to focus research on IPTV and OTT technologies

11 March 2015, Shenzhen – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, announced that it will set up a joint innovation center with Telkom Indonesia to focus on the development of Internet protocol-based video technologies.

The joint innovation center will pool together ZTE’s world-class capabilities in IPTV and OTT solutions, and the commitment to service excellence of Telkom, Indonesia’s biggest telecommunications company. The center will focus on the research of IPTV and OTT technologies, building partnerships with other technology providers, and the development of new services. The project further deepens the strategic partnership between ZTE and Telkom.

Telkom provides a comprehensive range of services including wireline, mobile, networking, broadband Internet and data communication services to millions of individual subscribers and businesses in Indonesia. Telkom is the operator of the IndiHome broadband Internet service.
