ZTE to Partner with ICT for Business Customer Services
29 November 2011, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, has partnered with ICT to supply fixed-line network products to enterprise customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. ZTE has partnered with IT service provider ICT, based in Bonn, Germany, who will sell ZTE’s products and solutions for broadband enhancements to both public and private sector customers. This collaboration with ICT represents ZTE’s first steps towards establishing an independent sales channel for enterprise solutions in Germany.
By joining forces with sales experts ICT, ZTE can now offer its products and solutions on the open market to enterprise customers in the DACH region. Previously, ZTE had exclusively delivered its telecommunication products and solutions directly to network operators.
With the objective of establishing channel operations, ZTE Deutschland GmbH launched a dedicated sales channel department earlier this year and looks to expand the team over the coming months. “Over the past few years, ZTE’s growth strategy in Europe has proved very successful. It is now the right time for us to enter the enterprise customer market for direct sales and to further enhance our market share based on our innovative broadband products,” said Uwe Prasse, Head of Channel Sales, Enterprise Customers, ZTE Düsseldorf. “With this, ZTE Deutschland takes a leading position in the enterprise customer sales of ZTE in Europe.”
According to Jürgen Pallien, General Manager of ICT, the relationship between ICT and ZTE highlights a general trend: “A steadily increasing number of globally operating corporations rely on local service providers, due to their on-site availability with fast and geographically close customer support.
